'Thiruvamadi thamban' censored with 'U/V' Certificate.
Elephants have been always a weakness for Jayaram. He is even owning an elephant of his own. And the actor is now very happy to do a typical ‘Aanakkadha’.
His latest film THIRUVAMBADI THAMBAN by M. Padmakumar tells the story of a family whose business is importing elephants from Bihar and selling it here.
Jayaram made his debut in Padmarajan's Aparan (1988). Jayaram won his first Kerala State Film Award, a Special Jury Award, for his performance in the film Thooval Kottaram (1996).
He went on to win another Kerala State Film Award, and has won four Filmfare Awards in South. In 2001, he won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award, Special Prize award, for his performance in Thenali (2000). In 2011, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for his contribution towards the arts.
The film THIRUVAMBADI THAMPAN will feature Kannada actress Haripriya in the female lead role. Jagathy Seekumar, Kishore, Thampi Ramaiah ,Nedumudi Venu, Jayaprakash play other major roles. "Thiruvambadi Thamban" hit bigscreens on May 25th.
