Mammootty in Lal Jose's "Emmanuel".

Work on Lal Jose directed movie ‘Emmanuel’ with Mammootty in the lead role will begin soon. Artists for other roles are being identified. Christian characters portrayed by Mammootty have been by and large, very successfuland ‘Emmanuel’ is also expected to be favourably received by the film crowd. Kottayam Kunchachan, Kizakkan Pathrose, Kuttapayi and Chandy are some of his Christian portrayals which have been remembered for his remarkable performance. Recent films with Mammootty as the hero have not been able to make much headway in the box office and ‘Emmanuel’ is expected to change the tide. The shooting will begin as soon as Lal Jose completes his present project which has Prithviraj and Kunchacko Boban in the main roles.
