Ranjith who kick started the winds of change in Malayalam cinema and Megastar Mammootty are getting together again. After a series of flops, Mammootty has decided to be more choosy in accepting offers and this alliance is a result of his resolution. As a part of his scheme, Mammootty has dropped the films announced earlier and joined hands with Ranjith in order to make a strongimpact on the viewing public. The same combination worked wonders with ‘Paleri Manikyam’, and ‘Pranchiyettan and the Saint’ and both were resounding successesat the box office.
The new movie’s screenplay will be written by ‘Urumi’ fame Shankar Ramakrishnan. Mammooty’s manager George willbe producing the film. The shooting is expected to start aftercompleting the works of ‘Spirit’.
Mammootty’s decision to work more with the directors of the new wave cinemas is expected to produce a host of classy Malayalam films in the near future.
