Director Roshan Andrews had announced the making of ‘Mumbai Police’ long ago with Prithwi Raj in the main role but due to various reasons, the shooting got delayed indefinitely.
The delay continued even though the announcement had come before the making of ‘Casanovva’ with Mohanlal as the hero.
Then rumours that Prithvi had abandoned the project and that Mammootty might accept the role in ‘Mumbai Police’ were floating around but finally all the uncertainties are over and Prithvi will be the hero in ‘Mumbai Police’.
Along with Prithvi, Sreenivasan too will be playing a very important part in the film.
The name of the film is likely to bechanged as Prithviraj is starting on another movie with a similar name ‘Mumbai Dosth’ and this is likely to cause some confusion among the viewers, according to Sanjay, who is one of the screenplay writers.
Prithviraj acts as Antony Moses, a strict police officer in ‘Mumbai Police’, the shooting of which will start in August.
