Who will be 'Marthanda Varma'??

Travancore Royal family and the discovery of precious jewels in the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple fill the media news these days and what better time to make a film on Marthanda Varma, the most famous of the Travancore rulers! That is exactly what K.Sreekumar has in mind. But there is a small problem regarding the actor to tobe cast as Marthanda Varma and this is creating plenty of heartburn to the director. His first choice was super star Mohanlal but due to his heavy commitments, Sreekumar was notable to get dates from Mohanlal. The name of another super star, Mammootty, was suggested by the director’s assistant. The likelyhood of Mammootty donningthe Royal role is uncertain as there is no love lost between the star and Sreekumar. The third choice was Suresh Gopi.However, the actor , after becoming the host of ‘Crorepathy’show in a Malayalam channel, has increased his rates steeply. The next choice naturally fell on Prithviraj but again there is an opinion that Prithwi’s physique is not suitable for the King’s role. Simultaneously, Sreekumar is trying to identify a fifth actor whocould fill the role adequately.
