Santhosh sivan is get included into ASC

Cinematographer turned filmmaker Santhosh Sivan has become the first Indian and more over the first one from Asia Pacificto get inducted to the prestigious American Society Of Cinematographers [ASC]. The greatness of the honour is such that the organization has only 340 members. It is learned that Santhosh was nominated to ASC by the famous American cinematographer Michael Chapman. Santhosh Sivan graduated from the Film and Television Institute ofIndia (FTII) and went on to complete 45 features and 41 documentaries. He was a founding member of theIndian Society of Cinematographers (ISC) and is the most awarded director of photography (DP) in India. He wasawarded the National Films Award for Best Cinematography four times, for the films Perumthachan (1991), Kaalapani (1996), Iruvar(1997), and Dil Se.. (1998).
