Endemol india groups remakes malayalam movie 'TRAFFIC' to Hindi

MUMBAI: After producing several reality shows for television, Endemol India is now gearing up for its big screen debut. It may be recalled thatBusinessofc inema.comwas the first to report thatEndemol was planning a forayinto films in India. The company's first Hindi movie will be a remake of the Malayalam hit, Traffic.The movie is considered to be one of the highest-grossin g Malayalam projects so far in the calendar year. Several top film production companies were in the running toacquire the Hindi remake rights ofthe project. The Hindi remake willbe directed by Rajesh Pillai, who is also the director of the Malayalam original. Endemol India managing director Deepak Dhar confirms, "Yes, we have acquired the remake rights for Traffic and we are very excitedto begin work on this. Other details pertaining to the project will be announced at an appropriate time."
