‘Traffic’ changed the whole concept of Malayalam cinema and brought in a host of new wave films which dared to take the untravelled route.
Rajesh Pillai, the maker of ‘Traffic’, has named his next movie ‘Lucifer’ and for good measure has snatched super star Mohanlal for the main role.
Presently he is working on pre-production of ‘Gold’ after which work on ‘Lucifer’ will begin.
Murali Gopi, who wrote the script for ‘E Adutha Kalathu’, will write the script for Rajesh Pillai’s film as well.
Incidentally, Murali had acted along with Mohanlal in the hit movie ‘Brahmaram’.
‘Lucifer’ will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas. Rajesh Pillai is busy completing the Hindi version of ‘Traffic’ while Murali Gopi is working on John Antony’s ‘Thappana’ after which he will also be working with ArunKumar Aravind. Joshy’s ‘Run Baby Run’ is keeping Mohanlal very busy at the moment.
